Tiberias does not want to be alone. Last school year he searched for and found a girlfriend. Nora Jean is a year younger than Ty. Ty pretended to marry her one day and they got rings for each other. Ty claimed again and again that she is his true love and that he wants to marry her when he growsup.
With this school year he has found a new friend, Desyrae. She is in his classroom at school and they became close friends fast. Ty loves talking with her! They walk home from school together sometimes.
Ty and Desyrae decided they should be "dating." Ty wanted to have two girlfriends!
So Sterling and I decided that he is not allowed to have any girlfriend any more...until he is 16.
I was uncomfortable from the start and the only way we had allowed him to have a girlfriend was if he didn't kiss her. Now he wants two girlfriends. So he can have all of them as friends but that's it.
Recently he asked if he could marry two different women because he could not choose between Desyrae and Nora Jean. I told him that he can only marry one when he grows up. One wife.
He was disappointed.
Today I started watching a tv show about polygamists who live that way for good reasons. They are not wicked men just looking to have more sexual partners.
Ty walked in and heard them talking about having 2 wives. Ty stopped and exclaimed "What? You said I couldn't have two wives! But he has two wives!" lol
So I had to explain that to him... "There are a few people in the world who are polygamists and they have more than one wife. But that isn't normal. You, Ty, cannot have more than one wife!"
